“This song is based on a very personal reality for me – a turning point. There was a time I decided I had to stop dwelling on past regrets and feeling down. Complaining or holding grudges gets you nowhere. I resolved to lift my head, face forward, accept myself – including the ‘uncool past’ – and just keep walking my own path forward, believing in the future I choose. This song was the first step onto my new path, the beginning of the creative activities I’m pursuing now. Its core is the feeling captured in a poem I wrote for myself called ‘Tada, Mae e’ (‘Just, Forward’). I believe now is always the youngest we’ll ever be, so it’s always the right time to start!”
